TheFork Manager vs Quandoo for Restaurants: Comparison
TheForkManager is a combination of powerful restaurant software and the world's largest community of food enthusiasts. By partnering with TheForkManager, you'll save time so you can focus on what really matters to your customers.
Partner with TheFork to promote your restaurant to over 20 million customers and join a community of 55,000 partner restaurants, including 2,500 MICHELIN Guide restaurants.
Pricing Packages and Contract
With TheFork, you're always in control: You can choose between two subscription packages, one of which is free.
TheFork is the only company to offer you a no-commitment contract that can be changed to suit your business needs.
Our most premium subscription is £160 cheaper than OpenTable's premium package, with additional benefits such as Google bookings being free with the Pro+ subscription.
OpenTable offers two paid subscription packages on 12-month fixed-term contracts. OpenTable charges you for all Google bookings regardless of your subscription, and Google links are not available. Hidden charges apply if you set up prepaid bookings to avoid No-Shows.
Booking Module
TheFork offers all its partner restaurants the possibility of integrating a booking module on their website and social networks at no extra cost.
All reservations received through this module on your own channels (website and social networks) are commission-free. It's a smart, customisable, and easy-to-use booking module so guests can easily reserve a table at your restaurant. TheFork is the only partner that allows you to be bookable on TripAdvisor.
OpenTable does offer a reservation module, however, your guests cannot view your availability. If a guest wants to book at your restaurant but you're fully booked on the day, the guest won't be offered any alternative times. They would have to manually search day-by-day to find the nearest availability.
Restaurant Marketing Tools and Campaigns
TheFork is the only player to invest in its partner restaurants and provide marketing tools to help you boost your sales by acquiring and retaining new customers.
For several years now, TheFork Festival, the industry's biggest European dining event, has been attracting millions of customers to our restaurant partner's tables. You can set up special offers all year round to attract more guests during off-peak hours, something only available with TheForkManager.
OpenTable doesn't offer marketing tools to help you acquire new customers and increase your revenue. OpenTable doesn't offer a solution for filling empty tables at off-peak times, which represents a considerable loss of revenue in the restaurant industry.

OpenTable for Restaurants Summary
OpenTable is a good solution but only offers paid subscription packages, in which they ask restaurants to commit to a 12-month contract and they may charge you hidden fees for features such as prepayment hidden costs.
Reservations via OpenTable's booking module on their restaurant partner's website are not very user-friendly, which can lead to fewer bookings, and therefore less revenue. OpenTable does not run any large-scale campaigns in place to support the restaurant sector.
